The ESA International Summer School on Global Navigation Satellite Systems:
A Worldwide Utility
July 20-30, 2009 - in the GATE test area, Berchtesgaden
Since universities educate still the students only in single engineering fields, but satellite navigation, however, requires interdisciplinary knowledge, it is the objective of this summer school to provide the attendees with a comprehensive overview on the design and development of satellite navigation systems as well as its applications. The program is open to graduate students, PhD. candidates, early-stage researchers and young professional willing to broaden their knowledge.
Besides Lecturers on fundamentals, topics will address the US Global Positioning System, the Russian GLONASS, the European Galileo system, the Chinese BEIDOU/COMPASS, the Japanese Quasi-Zenith Satellite System and the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) as well as the augmentation systems.
International renowned scientists will give lecturers as well as the Summer School Directors
